Assume Budget is under $4k.
2k 144-240h gaming.

Some questions I have right away:
1) Will most/all non reference 4090s fit? What about 4080s?
2) Will the ram fit with heatsink? What about ssd?
3) questionable about reasonably priced Mobo.

Thanks,

(your build)
1.
4090 length: Length: 348 mm
Your case: 420mm max gpu length in specs

2.a) yes but make sure the orientation is right on your cooler b) probably not, the motherboard youre using has integrated heat sinks just get a regular nvme without a heatsink attached
3) determine if you need wifi/bluetooth on board. determine if you need 5 m2 slots, or 1-3, if you're overclocking (i wouldnt bother) but that motherboard is fine. they don't get much cheaper for intel.

4090 overkill more than likely for 2x 240hz, 4080 would be sufficient but if ya wanna flex go for it

Thanks, for the GPU length isnt my concern its the uhh case side panel especially with the bulky power connector not being allowed to flex much

on the case site it says '170mm max height for cpu cooler' so im assuming the same would apply for a gpu.
card height says it's 150mm tall overall. looking at the pics the connection as at the lower point, guestimating probably about 20mm lower. so, 40mm for cabling

not sure on the height of this part of a cable, but id imagine it would be fine. just be careful, the biggest thing with these gpu's is that people don't seat them properly. manufacturers are saying now to plug in the cable BEFORE you put in the gpu, VERIFY it's all the way in, and then DOUBLE CHECK before you start up and shut your case.

if you wanted a case with more height: LIAN LI Lancool III (20mm more height for gpu)

Thank you.

Its a hard pill to swallow buying a 4080 which is usually going around the msrp of a 4090 which the 4090 is a huge jump over 4080 especially looking at msrps of both

Yeah I definitely never looked at the specs that close, if I were to go 40xx series I'd go 4090 now looking at what I just did... Ha!

Waste of money to get a 4090 for 1440p gaming. Just get a 3060ti

He’s not gaming on simultaneous monitors. What does it matter. He could run 4 monitors at 1440p

4090 is a 4K card and to use it for anything less is wasted money

From what Ive seen around benchmarks, 2k @240hz max settings seems to still be a challenge even for the 4090. Throw in streaming on top of that I dont think its wasted.

3090ti/4080 is also an option since they are the same price(atm) but Im trying to get setup to grab a 4090 at msrp. My fear is it fitting inside the 5000x case(I really dont want to upgrade to the 7000x if I dont need to)
