This applies to any non-weapon item:

Case 1: Item has innate %ED. You socket with a +Max or +Min Jewel. No bug.

Case 2: You socket an item with a %ED Jewel. Then you socket with +Max or +Min Jewel. No bug.

Case 3: Item has innate +Max. You socket with a +%ED Jewel. The %ED only applies to minimum, not maximum.

Case 4: Item has innate +Min. You socket with a +%ED Jewel. The %ED only applies to maximum, not minimum.

but in my case theres no example for an innate ed AND min then socketing max

your example is case 1 I guess. the item has inherent %ed. it also has min dmg, but that doesn't open up a new case apparently...

i see i see. just conflicted cause how do we know which is dominant? could have spawned min first and then ed

hate to slap in a crown 4 mod rare jewel worth 800-2k fg to find out it did nothing in dmg

then get your hands on a cheap max dmg jewel and test it
i believe there is no problem since inherent %ed might be the more general case and cases 3/4 are only considered if case 1 is not correct, but that is just a guess

might be off-topic, but i have to ask: what kind of necro are you building with an ed circlet and max dmg jewels? poison dagger? or even weirder?
