Hi
Could someone explain how the ed/min/max dmg works if socketed into an armor for example?

In this case, I socketed 2x 30 ed 9 min 7 max 4 dex jewels and 2x 40 ed 15 ias jewels into a 4 socketed armor.

Will the ed affect the min or max damage? Or will the ed affect my total physical damage?

Thanks!

Here's a pic of the armor:

interesting armor.. lol

- don't put a max or min jewel with ed in anything except a weapon
- a ED/max jewel in armor will grant the ed% to your min damage, but no ed% towards your max damage.

also is that TO gloves?

hehe

well I read somewhere that if the jewel has both min and max dmg it wouldn't affect the min/max dmg :headscratch:

the gloves are not trang's :p

"This applies to any non-weapon item:

Case 1: Item has innate %ED. You socket with a +Max or +Min Jewel. No bug.

Case 2: You socket an item with a %ED Jewel. Then you socket with +Max or +Min Jewel. No bug.

Case 3: Item has innate +Max. You socket with a +%ED Jewel. The %ED only applies to minimum, not maximum.

Case 4: Item has innate +Min. You socket with a +%ED Jewel. The %ED only applies to maximum, not minimum.

Case 5: You socket item with a +Max Jewel, then you socket with a +%ED Jewel. The %ED only applies to minimum, not maximum.

Case 6: You socket item with a +Min Jewel, then you socket with a +%ED Jewel. The %ED only applies to maximum, not minimum.

Case 7: You socket an item with a %ED/Max Jewel. The %ED only applies to minimum, not maximum.

Case 8: You socket an item with a %ED/Min Jewel. The %ED only applies to maximum, not minimum.

Case 9: You socket an item with a %ED/Min/Max Jewel. The %ED applies to neither."

off weapon ed is calculated as min and max already

if u use a jewel with min or max in armor - it will replace the min /and or max of the ed , resulting in far less damage

40/15max jewel on anything but a weapon will give you 40% enhanced minimum damage and +15 max damage.

For jewels with +min damage instead of +max, it's the other way around.

For jewels with %ED, +min and +max (only happens on rares), only the +min and +max will count. That may show as "Adds X to X damage" if the max damage is higher than the min damage.

I guess I'll have to re-socket my armor then.
Thanks for the comments.

2x 40/15ias + 2 x 40ed/9dex is great

another option is 2x 40/9dex + 2x 15res/15ias for vs sorcs or like 2x15ias/30 lit res for vs foh...

gl

or bers in armor always work great vs zons - since off weapon ed is not the greatest , while u get the full affect for the ber
