I am talking about PvE SC environment here.

Stacking life for PvE to me is absolutly pointless. It brings nothing to the table in terms of PvE farming.


Most of the mobs dont even get into contact with you because as they got one/two shotted, therefore what is the point of having 3k+ life?
I typically use 2 or 3 full rejuvs per map, in fact at tryhard mode they barely hit me (at HC thats much diffrent stories, since mods on mobs can roll crazy deadly shit, but at SC?)


So, I asked myself how could I be more efficient? What else could be put on skiller? Stats? Bleh, thats boring. Some dmg, yea that cool but not all build use psych dmg.

Extra gold? Yeaaa, that seems like a option.

I am doing dozen of runs every day, probably hundred+ per week. I got currently 820 extra gold on my FoHer, and this really stacks up on the span of sooo many runs. Also the ding ding sound and collecting big piles of gold is oddly satisfacting (at least to me lol)

I also play

Java: same story, even at P8 cows are a breezy, extra gold is super effective, not only on charms/ skilers but also on boots, gloves, etc.

Fishy necro: if not my minions I wouldnt even care to BO before map as the guy could be played with one hand and never die. The least life dependent class IMO.

Elemental druid: huuge hp pool just by the spirit, couldnt care less to stack life. Why not to improve my PvE performance and add more EG?

Have anyone else though of that?

What are your other tricks to improve your farming efficiency?

PS. I am about to check how long it would take my FoHer to gather 10kk IGG from Trav. My Barb could achive that in around 20 minutes, wonder how fast can be this guy (for the flex cuz why not set new goals on 20y old game?)

Skillers aren't really meant for PvM in that regard. You're paying obscene amounts to farm faster, you're better off just selling what you find. Consider when skillers are useful too. Having 300-400 more HP is quite a bit, then you add an additional 2-300 from BO. If you're a P8 Runner in a Baal game, it doesn't hurt to have even half of your inventory set aside for a few 35+ lifer charms as a cushion.

Thats a good point, EG is super effective on a high FRW chars, but since 90% wear enis and 20/30 FRW, everyone is so speed at D2R.

i use EG (edited: i use EG/ress sc) on small charms as well with some missing resistance. i though of using those for my DPS horker (I am refering mainly to Foher at my post) but sold him.

Anyway, he was all stacked up with with dmg/ar/eg charms, but yea, frw on small charms could be kinda cool.

The higher your life the less you actually have to pay attention. Seems like a perfect combination for SC players. Effeciency with no thought about mob types and affixes, don't see where the thought process went awry.

They very well could be. It opens up a lot of combinations for your EQ. You dont need sojs. You dont need 2 skill on your ammy. You dont need 2 skills on your gloves.
Those are not mandatory no more if you maintain enough of + skill with charms.






Oh i deffinetly disagree with you. Maybe I misunderstand you, but I do sell stuff. I try to end each run always with my EQ filled with the most efficient loot to sell (necro wands, hats, etc).

The diffrence is that I do that while having 820 EG, while average player has 120.

We do the same number of runs, in theory getting same amount of runes and items, but I make 6x times gold he does.


Average player kill stuff the same way as I do with my fully EG/MF oriented Foher. The stuff dies mostly at 1 well placed bolt, if missed but want to finish some champ, you switch to holy bolt anyway.



Public games are not consistent at all, and a lot of folks stealing meta places. Its also rare to find a run that matches your CS clear time so you can smoothly just hop to new game again and again. Not to mention that cuz of lobby system or not enough players its not that easy to find many games at all.

Thats why I refer to P1, as this is the most played game count.

Thats true, but I am not here to discuss perception based factors. Lets assume you are aware well enough and can easly handly lower hp pool while maintaining full focus.

I am talking about technical aspects.
