Only 1 charm works at a time. Fir example if you have 2x charms equipped that give +10 strength, you only get +10 strength, not +20, because the 2nd charm is like an offhand charm
Ee from charms and armor won't give your weapon more damage. They will give the armor added defense or the charm added damage (ex. If it's a lightning charm with 100ee, then it will do more damage when you CAST lightning spell compared to a lightning charm with no ee- ee on a charm won't help your attack damage..it won't give your wrapping another 100ee damage boost bc it's just for the charm)
For starting out, just try to buy weapons and armor with high ee and maybe charms with high dexterity and put most of your points into dexterity. Dexterity on charm = more life. Ee on armor = higher defense and you will take less damage. Ee on weapon = you deal more damage. Use the shrine in town to trade junk items you find for hit points when you get low. And just click click click and use your special attack when you can

Be sure you don't use a casting special attack if your a meele character. Buy daggers and make a character can use daggers bc they are the most versatile weapon..meaning certain character classes can't use certain weapon types but almost all can use daggers so you won't need to buy a new set of weapons for your next char class after you pass the master quest w your first character
