CLASSIC MODE - no expansion gear here

Im making this topic to ensure I (or anyone else reading) won't sell some godly shit to Charsi


I am clueless about item prices and value on classic, so perhaps some1 could give me a hint what's valuable and what is not
I was LOD player for quite a few years, so item like 300 damage 2h hammer (here https://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=88181890 ) looks lke a total garbage to me - aparently it's not

so... i suggest to make a list of desired stats on items, i will start the list slightly so you see what i mean....

190+ED ~300+ max damage - will remember this one for sure

fcr or dual leech

30 frw / 10 fhr / tri res (c/f/l prefered)

fhr / life / dual res / str

+2 java / 20 ias
20 ias / high stat/ high res
Dual leach +str


Belts
24 fhr/ high str / dual res

yeah, and i added "DRUID" stuff to helmet section

fixed now, added big red banner on top

For weapons I'd say 150+ ed is worth keeping.

Gloves
Dual leach +str

Amulets +1 all res +2 all res

Armour/helmets are same looking for
Fhr life dual res

Belts roughly same
Fhr life dual res can roll str in these as well

Shield
Fhr 30/20 all res

Rings
Fcr dual res again can roll strength

If classic is same as it used to be it's more about what its rolled in.

I.e. red/brown mageplate with all half decent mods likely worth more than a breastplate with gg mods cause classic you can survive with next to no gear so it's all about cosmetics. Not sure how that pans out with the new graphics as I took this opportunity to finally play lod

ehanced defense (if it's a piece with higher str req as the defense is the only reason you would get that str in the first place)

ammy - what you listed, prismatic, str/dex, life/mana
rings - what you listed, also mana/life, AR, +min
armor - FHR, life, reses
Belt - Str, fhr, life, reses
gloves - FHR, reses, str/dex, LL/ML (there is no +2 jav skills on gloves in classic. IAS can be useful, to some builds but for the most part less important. most builds would use deaths or sigs if they really needed glove ias)
Helm - FHR life reses
shields - 30/20 fhr pris +2 pally (pallies care less about 30/20) color mods add value (most notably PLR-red), bone/grim are the most desirable models. spiked/barbed do ok. pavise is popular for bvb.
boots - 30frw, fhr, hfd, +dex, reses

Sorry if it wasn't clear but they're trying to compile info on the classic gear meta, for fear of finding good gear on classic and not recognizing it as good.

And as said, 150+ ed of a desirable weapon model (the best exceptional models, like Martel, Battle hammer, naga, lance, etc) would definitely be worth something. might even get a sale out of something more in the 120-140ed range too, but it'd be more of a hassle.

fhr/life/res/stats(which effectively becomes life) are easily the most important across the board, yes.

enhanced defense means a lot if the base model has higher strength than most would go (mageplates for casters, ornates for barbs and some pallys. Grim helms, war belt/gloves/boots)

I'd say a thing that can get very valuable very quick is paladin shields, and +2 ammies. +2 pris is worth __something__ even if it's on a less desirable model. Value starts growing from there the more it has tacked on to that.

most other gear slots aren't leaning as hard into that single highly desired stat (+2/pris), and usually want a strong mixture of desirable stats
