Wrx Sti Any Good? - Topic

easier to work on than a honda, way more expensive than a honda, makes less power per $ spent than a honda. i have a sti swapped forester, 400awhp. but uh, unless you plan on buying an older one, dont buy one.

I agree that they are more expensive for parts. Not sure if they are easier to work on than a Honda. I would rather do spark plugs on a Honda any day, since they have to be done often. Dollar-per-HP, I would have to give it to the STI. It's easy to get a tune on a boosted car and make 50-60whp more. The amount of money you would have to spend on an N/A engine is way more.

I would have to disagree about the reliability. Most people that say that usually don't perform the proper maintenance. Oil changes are extremely important for those cars and a lot of people get deterred from doing it often because it's pricey.

I've owned an e36 and now an f30 (with 100K miles) and both very reliable. There is some maintenance that is coming up which is pricy but it's at 100K, and it's a performance car, so you gotta pay the tax.
