Great idea - would certainly help clear up some spam that occurs when old FT topics come up from the search function.

Just a color change of the topic would give you some of want you are asking for.

Editing initial trade post is better off for making trades or showing the beginning of the trade until the end of the trade. Seeing someone edit is a good sign of activity and it is dependent on them how one may feel when trading with that user and regularly, or not regularly.

Search is also good for price checking.

Changing the whole system is bad.


/e in. Could set a trigger like the tagging feature. When tag gets edited in or posted it shifts topic to a "Complete" status, showing on the forums as a different color. Would only be able to access it if you are the topic creator. This keeps the system and everything else as close as possible to as is.

I like this idea but I believe there would be a few issues.

What if your selling more than 1 item?

I believe it would be more helpful if the suggestion would be to keep the edit button active or allotted/additional time as long as the post is still active within a 24 hour range so FT lists can be updated and spam can be reduced. I don't believe a "sold" button would overall be a good implement seeings how many FT threads include more than 1 item.
