Agreed. Once Enigma became commonplace, it became pretty ridiculous and I stopped PVPing all together.

Old story.

I can understand how disturbing was the pvp once enigma was introduced in the game and became mandatory.
1.09 pvp was fun but thats all, it was mainly arround bowazon and sorcs.

However, enigma changed it all but in a good way.

After few seasons, pvp community made rules, pvp became fast-paced, extremly skilled at high level and tactical (1v1 and team pk).

But totaly different from 1.09.

Note that enigma is extremly hard to get in a clean economy (w/o bots, cheats, dupes etc.) so your first feelings of pvp in D2R might be close to 1.09.



I don't really play melee. I could try but you wont like the way i play it xD

Why don't you and whoever else hates Enigma and other runewords get together, make a gm ruleset, and just start a dueling ladder on it? I'm sure plenty of people would play it. I know there's certain items you can't get but either way if you can limit what can and can't be used it should be fine.
