Agreed, but only because we are used to a very constant, fluid animation.
Imo, the new animation comes much closer to a natural whirl as it seems like he needs to regain inertia :). I just wonder how this will match with the hitting-noise when he hits a target. For instance with high attack rating, he hits multiple times - which matches with todays whirl animation.
