There will be a decent amount of people who keep their accounts active just because of how much time and money they've put into it, as well as people who just outright prefer OG d2 for their own reasons. Ultimately, OG d2 will probably die tho.

I'm not so sure the OG Servers will be gone, but I could see anti-cheat being implemented.

I could also see old D2 LoD servers, Keys, and more, being updated to the Battle.Net App.

All that may happen after Diablo 2 Resurrected gets released.
