The bigger problem are the cheats that help during grifts: sync rotations, autorecast with proper timing, pylon scouting, map density calculation and so on.
This is a huge help and break totally the competition.
there are guys in leaderboard at p1500 and you won't be able to run that result with a p5000, even if paragon help a lot, I agree.

Think about it on d2: I myself botted several char to 99. For sure it give an edge on pvp against lvl 8x char. But at the end it was not comparable with TMC/AA/Redvex

I'm jumping in a little late, but I figured I wanted to share my opinion.

I really wanted to like Diablo 3. I really did. The improved loot I thought was novel. I like the graphics and how the game played. It felt like a dungeon crawler.

What I didn't like was the room size shrunk down to 4 players. How could a game from 20 years ago have a larger party size.

I didn't like when trading was removed. I didn't like when the game didn't have pvp. I didn't like that the game although ran smooth the characters played chunky. For God's sack a sorc should be able to spam Tele.

I was a nonladder player. I have never cared for pve. I do pve with friends to reach an end result. For gear to trade hoping I land the godly item, or to level for pvp. I have never enjoyed grinding just for the sake of grinding. That's all Diablo 3 felt like to me, but yet lost all of its class charm from my childhood.

Something about pub pvp, and the gm jsp ladders were just flat out fantastically fun.

Not to sound a certain way, but beating the computer isn't anything I view as fun. You are supposed to beat the computer. Thats the point of the game. Pvp takes skills, and is always different . Diablo 3 lost that.
