Would you guys consider toast junk food? Would it depend on the bread?

Fighting a friend over this. He says it is, but gives whole wheat bread a pass.

why does it matter?

No it’s not. Some bread types are better like whole grain or wheat but white bread wouldn’t be considered junk food.
