I think this can be slightly upgraded to make it easier on the community. The newer pm feature and when on the forums is what comes to mind. In the end I don't know if changing the add friend option display is needed as the current layout allows for future introduction of something else and maybe new along the lines of friends, IE Add friend, : Woops it looks like you two are friends already. Would you like to send a pm or search the users posts in a sub-forum instead?, and other currently discussed site suggestions.

He has a point I believe. It could be another DB query (although, this depends on how the friends system is setup on the backend). Only njaguar knows
