Here's another thing I'm wondering: To what extent will the city of Minneapolis deploy resources to protect itself from being destroyed?
They are going to know in advance when the verdict is being announced. We all remember the tense feeling before the O.J. verdict: cops suited up, braced for potential chaos.
Would Minneapolis stand between the rioters and the retailers? Do they just secure the high-risk targets (i.e. power stations) and let the residents fend for themselves?
