I recently watched the movie Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. The previous film, The Last Jedi, left a deeply positive impression on me. "Skywalker: Rise", unfortunately, turned out not so cool, but rather the opposite ... The film cannot boast of audience versatility, that is, it is focused purely on fans who remember in detail what happened in the previous parts. Before, Star Wars was better - that's a fact. It seems that Disney is saving on everything - on actors, special effects, screenwriters and so on. If earlier SW set a trend in science fiction, now they are trailing behind. I state with regret that the new Star Wars is the minimum of a fantastic adventure and the maximum of a cheap melodrama.

The list is more for children or early teens? or am I missing something?

There is no Rocky posts, or Rambo, maybe even Twins (comedy with Arnold Schwarzenager [spelling srry] and that short guy, forgot his name, but from Taxi TV series)

Penitentiary ... these movies are old, but I do know that they made similar movies in 21st century... basically, guy gets framed for murder, goes to prison and has to survive the Prison underground fighting club.

Actually depends on people and their interpretation of what is great for them... shit, I still haven't watch Titanic, and like hell would I want to watch it, don't get me wrong, my partner wanted to watch it (luckily at home) and basically I fell off to sleep, and thank the lord I did. Damn, may as well add the Romeo & Juliet remake starring the same actor from Titanic (forgot the name of actor and romeo movie)... yup fell off to sleep on that one also.

Jaws... hmm, not listed either.
Enter the Dragon (or any Bruce Lee movie for that matter)

Not sure what has been watched the most by what age etc, but then I suppose you would have to put them into 40 year brackets... Matrix was well watched I believe.

as I mentioned in the original post, 25% of the world's population is below age 15. That huge chunk of people skews the results a lot. the majority of young kids won't have watched Jaws or Enter the Dragon.

There is a list of most watched movies in imdb. Top 5 is:

That list would be skewed toward the segment of the population who would be apt to make an imdb account. Safe to say that IMDB skews toward English-speakers. Chinese people are likely to have watched Lion King, since it has no cultural bias and can be cleanly dubbed.

Hang on, isn't that YOUR interpretation? Who gives you the right to ASSUME that the PARENTS of the new generation of viewers THINK LIKE YOU?

Here is an example from me teaching my own Daughter at the age of 12+... "TV shows / Movies et cetera are all MAKE BELIEVE, even down to the violence, blood and gore, as for the explicit nudity, they are exploits to advertise their show, advertising products for sale etc!"

Now, my daughter watched Game of Thrones from Season 1 with this understanding, and she shuns away from the explicit pornography scenes but watches the blood & gore with the understanding it is all fake, BUT, she took hold of the plot, the storyline etc, and now that she is in her 20s, we talk about other movies, TV shows and anime... she can read the storyline, she uses these things to Act when applying for shows with an open mind and understanding.

The only thing you have mentioned is based on your OWN INTERPRETATION, I suggest as I told my own daughter, think for yourself instead of thinking like the lambs the rest of the population does.

A lot of teens will have watched GoT because it's a modern show that a lot of people are talking about.

But most teens will not have watched Jews or Enter the Dragon because they aren't film buffs who are interested enough in the classics to check out movies from the 70s. Any kid who watches enough movies to be into Jaws will have lived through a phase where they were the intended target for Lion King.

First sentence you posted is ASSUMPTION... why you are asking? Simply put, it is up to the parents (their generation and belief versus yours).

Jaws / Enter the Dragon... again speculation because it is all based on the generation of their Parents and since they have watched and supposedly grown wiser, would re-watch these classics with there young ones... oh... damn good TV show... "Young Ones" as crazy as it was.

I can NOT talk for the parents of other children that are in their care, so I will not speculate anymore, BUT, as an open minded person with my own children, I can only state facts for myself. 7 Billion people in the World, I can NOT speak for any of them, and neither can YOU.
