E.T probably belongs on the list.

Toy Story would be my guess for most watched, especially if we include any of the four films.

Honestly, not a single film on this list would even be close. All of them are dated, limited by demographics, or have fallen out of popularity for one reason or another. Frozen even being on the list is also a joke, it was a trash movie that didn't even deserve the 15 minutes of fame that it got.

Terminator? Lotr? The godfather?

I dont think that many chinese, indian, african and russian have seen godfather vs. some of the others

Yes, the global population is a good reason why I think that Lion King is the winner. There's no regional bias about the story. It doesn't suffer from being subtitled or dubbed.

I believe it would be Titanic.
Besides it being a big box office hit, households still watch it every now and then for 20+ years.

This was my reasoning behind Toy Story as well. Honestly any uber popular kids film is going to beat out everything on this list. It amazes me how people only think about their country with a question like this.

There is a list of most watched movies in imdb. Top 5 is:

1. Titanic.
2. E.T.
3. The Wizard of Oz.
4. Star Wars (including prequels and sequels).
5. The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.

Not sure if trustable tho.
