i would never run into that problem because intel never counted intergrated graphics to their physical core count to my knowledge.

i bought a amd computer in 2010 (acer aspire tc-105 apu) with a a10 6700k processer listed and advertised as a quad core processor. the reality is that is a 2 core 4 thread processor, i still have the computer and it is fully upgraded and it cannot play cetrain games like rage 2 a doom eternal because it does not read as a quad core processor which is required to play some higher quality triple a games.
