You said I just want to game @ 1440p I was trying to say you don’t need to fork out 200$ More on a 8 core processor to achieve that. The 5600x is more than enough processor to handle 1440p gaming and even 4K gaming

i bought a amd computer in 2010 (acer aspire tc-105 apu) with a a10 6700k processer listed and advertised as a quad core processor. the reality is that is a 2 core 4 thread processor, i still have the computer and it is fully upgraded and it cannot play cetrain games like rage 2 a doom eternal because it does not read as a quad core processor which is required to play some higher quality triple a games.

there i made my case happy reading.
