I'm regaining my taste. I couldn't taste anything, but now I'm about 70%. My smell is off as well. Whenever I smell something like a dipping sauce, it feels like my entire throat and brain is filled with chlorine water. It's awful. Although the headache from the initial onset was horrific. I'm lucky I didn't end up in the hospital, and thank god neither did my mom
The lack of taste is so weird too. Your brain and tongue registers the texture, and I'd say my brain tries to get you to know what it tastes like from memory (you can actually taste that). However, right after that you can feel in your brain and tongue the taste buds just don't work. 😳. You're essentially tasting your memory, not the actual food. Very hard to explain. Memories taste.. like nothingness
