Hello,

I am leveling a barb right now, following the "I am Conan" build guide. I am going the solo route.

I am using clubs/warhammers since they are budget and benefit most from str.

I am using Powerstrike, Knockdown, and Salvation as suggested in the build guide.

I just have a few questions.

1. Should I stick with clubs or warhammers?
2. I try to use Salvation, but I can't seem to cast it on myself. What am I doing wrong?
3. I'm looking to farm drops to up my fg. I was looking at ways people farm and I was considering leveling to a certain level, getting my character killed a bunch before leveling up so I do not go beyond my desired level, farming NPCs again, repeat... Is there a certain level that is best for getting level 55 items? I figure this way I would get to the point where I can farm max level gear without having to invest into my gear more by leveling up more.
a. What level should I shoot for to efficiently death farm for level 55 items?
b. Or would it be more beneficial to farm higher level NPCs?

1; use what you can get!
2; ignore salvation aslong you have not any heal charm or when you have aslong you cannot stay long engought in catacomb to charge him up! do focus on the other 2 skills!
3;from start they are good for farming, continue your climb slowly, check for life regen items that you can wear when you regen in town!
a; around level 61 is good for that
b; test it out everything is good for a starter

first time i visit that "iam conan guide" looks solide

good luck

What is the NPC level cap and player level cap? And do they scale in difficulty. Just wondering if it is ever worth it to keep leveling to max level just to farm gear.

I'd suggest this guide: https://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=82660445&f=272

Player level cap as far as you can get, same with mob.

Item level cap at level 55. So any time you're at 55 or higher, you can get the best drops. level 55 with magic luck allows you a chance to get slightly better items, but in general i suggest increasing you killing speed is better than using additional magic luck until you get a very strong weapon(level 55 150ee+)

Depends who you ask, not really proven.

level 55's drop level 55 items is though. Which have the largest potential of value, theoretically could get an item worth 1 mill fg to drop (a staff with 70 int and 14 crit for example would be worth somewhere around that region). A level 55 or higher mob can drop this.
Evil presences (ep's) have better drop rates
Wells have better drop rates. To use a well, put an item with no stats into it, fight the monster which comes out. No point doing this with items less than level 5, arguably 15 is usually the minimum level. I suggest selling those items though as you can see this other new players disbelief at the price they sell for: https://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=84133481&f=273

You can probably do 1-71 twice in the same time it takes you to do 1-90, so in general we just reach the MQ level use MQ then do 1-71 or whatever again, very uncommon to go above your MQ level when you solo.

When you start getting close to level 71, can start talking about selling the guild point you'll earn, there is a discussion already here: https://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=84133353&f=272

You lose progress

But once you gain +1 prof u will not lose that prof. Just % progress to +2 prof when dying
