while i agree that he's been largely invisible in big games for bayern, and sometimes a bit of a defensive liability despite filling a central midfield role, i think £20m is a steal, or at the very least a very good deal for liverpool. bayern should have gotten twice that for him, especially selling to an english club imo.

Not only is the deal £20m + £5m for winning PL/CL, it's only £5m up front and £5m in each subsequent year. So the net present value of future discounted cash flows is a lot less than £20m.

Genuinely never seen Jota have a good game, Jimenez and we'd be talking.

Jota is 6 years younger, quicker and scored 16 goals mostly from out wide. Good backup and more longevity than Jiminez.

Feel free to sign him for £50m though, it would be a classic yanited signing
