I'd do this and sell your cpu/ram/mob as a combo.
You will net 15-20% from the ram change alone.

/edit
can use other guys mobo also if you prefer it to this style.

nah, it's only size difference when it comes to ATX/m-atx.

Gaming X is just a higher quality board, usually ranked in the mid tier, but since it's not a KF but just a F version it shouldn't matter too much going with lower tier boards as u wont be OCing.
Here's the cheapest option for atx board, the asus-p, msi's a/gaming plus boards, asrock's phantom gaming 4 etc. are usually all grouped in the same tier

if ur going with KF cpu, stick to gaming X as it seems to cheapest towards its competitions

im gnna go with the KF.

this is the one i was looking at, as I want it to also support my RGB headers.

if you're going with KF, i suggest you get a better quality board. Otherwise, there's no need to overpay for K version, might as well just stick with the F and get that msi mobo for your rgb.

use this as reference, as z490 is relatively new so no tierlist yet, but it shouldnt be much different from z390s.

You can, I can only see issues if you were under a water loop and really pushing it.
Though he's right no need for A kf imo.
