Imagine what he could do with a decent team/linemates.

If Panarin was his age I would for sure take Panarin ahead of him but you can not discount the fact that Eichel is most likely to be improved at 28 whereas Panarin is likely to regress.

My criteria is basically drafting current active players based on their prime/achievements/consistency.

Legendary players like Ovechkin, crosby, Kane would be considered much earlier on, and not squelched cos old now lul, despite still producing.

McDavid, Mackinnon etc. would still be considered early cos of their young age and huge potential to do more during their prime.

Then u got guys like Jamie benn, who was awesome for couple seasons and then dropped off the cliff, which would go much later despite his prime and achievement.

At least that's how I usually think of redrafts
