There wasn't anything in the demo that was turn-based so I don't know, maybe it's being added in. They had said they absolutely would not do turn-based early on, and there was HUGE backlash from the gaming community because of it.

e: After digging a bit I guess in September they announced it would have a "classic" mode that would make it turn-based. Curious as to why this wasn't in the demo, but that's good to know.



Ya, I'm not digging the multiplayer too much myself either. The slayer seems to be at a MASSIVE disadvantage and the perks are fucking stupid. If they removed the perks entirely, it'd be a much more even matchup. I've won every game as demons and only won about 30% as slayer. Most matches I'll win the first 2 rounds as Slayer, but then round 3 when they the demons can instantly heal themselves almost back to full, block my drops, and do increased damage, there's not shit I can do if they rush me. Allowing them to respawn infinitely, but slayer gets one life, is also a head scratcher for me.

The time it takes to level that many fucking mime materia is not worth though lol.

Hahaha with Magic pot and triple AP it's not tooooo bad, but ya there are other ways that are less time consuming

I liked playing around with different methods, but I normally just went the kotr, mime and HP absorb without maxing my materia to avoid the one insta kill. That's the method I figured out as a kid, which took me like a fucking month, so even though it's slowish and ineffective to some of the crazy fast methods, I still like it. It also seems the best for speed running other than hoping to get a lucky limit with caitsith.

Still have yet to see lucky 7s although I never use cait so most likely why. I remember getting the gold chocobo as a kid with no internet or guides felt like one of the best accomplishments I ever achieved. Now it's just a joke and I would imagine going for it on speed runs as it takes like what 5-10 mins to get a gold chocobo

Na, it takes a lot longer than that. You have to race all your chocobos up to A class or higher before breeding to ensure you get what you want. It's not difficult or anything to win races (you'll lose sometimes if you have to vs Joe until you race with Wonderful or Black), but it's three wins per class to go up a rank, so 12 races per breeding for the initial ones. Or, you can try your luck at just booting over and over, but I've found it's faster to just race.

Same though, I beat all the weapons and got my gold chocobo by just trial and error. Shit took FOREVER

e: For technical writing we had to do a guide or a recipe, I did a guide on Chocobo Breeding lol. This was like 2-3 years ago, shit is pretty funny and I felt like such a fucking nerd writing it.
