So no, unless Biden drops to the floor and starts convulsing uncontrollably during the debate, this race is over.

Wouldn't be surprised if this happened tbh.

No he should not drop out. This notion is so stupid.

Bernie needs to win close to 60% of the remaining delegates in order to win and he's polling in the mid 30s. Something drastic needs to happen in order for him to be the favorite again.

Yes but its still possible. It is possible enough to allow the rest of the country to vote on it.

agreed, but there’s no reason for him to drop out until he’s mathematically defeated

unfortunately for Barnie he won’t get the opportunity to have 2 other candidates drop out and endorse him 12 hours before a large voting bloc goes to the polls

Well, Hillary said that no one likes Bernie. Turns out she was right

One could argue that he's hurting the progressive movement by getting his ass kicked over and over again. The longer he stays in, the fewer concessions Biden has to make because there will be more proof that progressives are irrelevant. Alternatively, if he drops out Wednesday and campaigns for Biden, he might get concessions for helping unify the party earlier.

Extremely unlikely. It's important to keep in mind the calendar: Bernie's best states (CA, WA, NV) came early, his worst ones (FL in particular) are yet to come. In just 2 days, Florida, Illinois and Ohio will go to the polls, and they're all very bad stats for Bernie. A week later, Georgia will vote, which is yet another populous state where Bernie is doing abysmally.

In Florida, Bernie will get blown the fuck out so bad it isnt even funny anymore:

Yeah, it's not likely that Bernie will win, but he shouldn't drop out until he can't win. Things that only have a 2% chance of happening happen millions of times a day after all.

I disagree with the above because it's a balancing act. Technically Tulsi could still win but she's just damaging her brand. Sanders does not want to win "at all costs" because he genuinely wants to see Trump defeated.

I agree that he shouldn't drop out NOW, but I think it'd be wise if he dropped out before April.

Not really. He was the frontrunner just a few weeks ago, it can shift again.

not a chance. The democratic party is democratic, not socialist. They know Bernie is not the choice.

It's unlikely, but not outside of the realm of possibility. Hell, Biden could have a health crisis, or just totally flounder in the debates and make a few giant gaffes. There's a lot of avenues to Bernie's nomination, albeit not likely avenues.

They're both old, and they're shaking a lot of hands. One or both could easily be taken out by the virus.
