To your second point, that may be accurate. We'll see. If US v Miller ever comes up for reconsideration, we'll find out. Nobody seems to be a rather absolute statement though. Hard to find any case today where there are no dissenters.

Note: I despise the NRA. They do not support the second amendment. They pushed and lobbied for the NFA originally, they've pushed and lobbied for every single addition to the NFA ever since. They're gun control proponents. Hence why I referenced them. Not looking for a "partisan" source to suit my fancies. The NRA is opposition.
