SnowflakeMage's actions make some sense when you realize his loyalty is to the swamp.

He was simply lying about having conservative principles all those years.
He supports neocons and warmongers on a consistent basis, not actual conservative principles.

For years he was a walking billboard for Chris Christie when he was vociferously advocating 4th amendment violations, wars, and closing down beaches so he could live his dream as a beached whale.
The fact that he was pro-big government was a bonus, not a strike against him (as it would be for actual conservatives)

That went out the window with CC's endorsement of the anti-establishment Trump and Christie was discarded.
Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden became his choices for president.

His worldview is shaped by the corporate fake news. Their lack of integrity being exposed for the world to see under Trump has been hard for him to handle.
Anyone who speaks out against them is a 'loon' or evil. Same goes for the deep state and other warmongers.
Journalists with integrity like Glenn Greenwald are his enemy and have to be attacked and mocked.
He adoringly shares low quality hit pieces and propaganda, from the garbage people at the lincoln project, the dailybeast, NYSlimes, wherever he can get it.

This is a guy who dishonestly denied the existence of the deep state to take shots at people who criticized it and ten minutes later said the deep state was great and necessary.

Biden is a dying symbol of a return to corrupt establishment politics.
This is a great thing to blood-soaked establishment neocon types.
To some people acting 'presidential' and embracing the normalcy of government evils is more important than having good policies and positions.
Biden's handlers might love slaughtering children in unnecessary wars and massive government interference in the lives of Americans, but at least Biden won't make funny tweets or insult smear merchants.

Biden will tweet out some bland garbage and pretend he wants unity when its politically expedient for him and he will eat it up and proudly share it with us as some kind of own.
Decorum and empty platitudes over morals, content and liberty.

Some lefties and previously apolitical normies have been whipped up into a hateful and delusional TDS frenzy, but SnowflakeMage is a different breed.

In an alternative realty where Republicans were serious people I'd probably call this sort of thing pandering and silly. I'm cool with appointing minorities who have the relevant qualifications... but generally mass symbolic appointments like this don't make sense.

At the same time, any one of these women is more serious and substantive than anyone Trump appointed to handle communications, so I'm completely fine with it.

I wonder how long you will continue to use "but at least they're better than Trump" to excuse stupid and/or pandering behavior from the Biden administration.


Also... can we talk about how they're perpetuating gender stereotypes by satisfying their female quota with an all-female communications team while almost all senior cabinet and advisor positions are male?
That's like Star Trek back in the day taking pride in showing the first black female in a main cast role, but of course she was only there to do telephone duty.

Same principle here. The women from the communications team can act as the friendly face selling the public on the decisions made by the men.
So not only is it silly pandering, it's also half-hearted and just trying to create an illusion of gender parity.
