udget: $650-$850 — in a perfect world I’d be spending right around $700 but, I’ve left $ to play with in case that just won’t get it done. If your build is $850... I’m willing to spend that, I’m just frugal so, please explain the pricier choices if you can.

More specific use (what games, what programs): Fortnite...that’s it. Controller Fortnite. It’s going in my living room as a console replacement. I probably won’t ever even browse the internet outside of finding drivers. EDIT: Totally forgot to mention!! BONUS POINTS if it will be able to run fort on my 65” curved SAMSUNG UHD TV but not required as I’ll be gaming on my monitor.. would be cool if I could plug it into my tv occasionally for my kids though.

Planned time until purchase: Today I’ll be ordering online.

Do you need an Operating System?: yes

Do you have any specific preferred components?: None
Do you need a sound or wireless card?: I’ll be using a Steelseries Arctic 7 wireless headset.. it has a usb dongle. I’ll also be using a cheap wireless kB/m for basic computing. Otherwise I’ll be playing with a wireless Controller and sometimes a DualShock4 SO, anything I need to make that happen. Plz include. ALSO, it’s in my living room. I’d like to keep it from being an annoyingly loud machine.

Do you want stock cooling or do you plan on overclocking?: I’ll do some basic OC stuff at some point but haven’t had a PC in years. Note: as mentioned above I’d like to keep it relatively quiet.

Do you need a monitor? mouse? keyboard?: None
Zip code/location? (Shipping costs): Cedarville, CA 96104

NOTES: Id really like it to be capable of smooth 150+ FPS on medium-high (fortnite).

Thankyou all so much, you’ve always been so helpful with this stuff

to note, i'm rather biased when it comes to pc components. i only list intel chips and asus mobos.
i was able to get the price very close to budget. "if" you don't plan to OC very high, you could get away with a cheaper asus mobo like the prime Z390-P

to get it cheaper, you could use the i3-9100F. $120 cheaper chip, you also won't need an after-market cooler unless you plan to push that chip to it's max. (even then stock "might" be ok, but i'd advise an after-market cooler at that point)

someone will probably get an AMD build sooner or later if you're looking for that.

Not sure what resolution you're playing at on the monitor for Fortnite

If you don't know how to flash a MSI Max board for that CPU then just disregard this.
Keep to Nvidia builds for Fortnite though.
The 2060 has a display port for your UHD Tv

Windows 10 key on the "e-bay" for 25 bucks.

Not sure either. My monitor is an Acer KG241Q 23.6” 1080p (1980x1080), 144Hz monitor.

Update:

I now have aN AMD RYZEN 3600 chip but, budget remains the same. So I’m still looking to spend $650-850 (preferably $750) but no longer need a a cpu.

Gonna assume you have a cooler/fan with your CPU

You can chuck on a cheap 20-30 dollar 120mm air cooler if not.
/E you might wanna grab a couple cheap sub 10 dollar pwm fans for ambient air intake as well
