Yeah I definitely do this now. Back in 2020 I had the day trader mindset until 2021 where I decided to just invest in AAPL, ELF and SPY to let them mature

Also had same mentality then kinda turned my strategy different in 2022. Stop degenerate options gambling , stop trying to time everything exactly all in or all out . Accumulate good companies and hold and you will be strongly rewarded

My portfolio can go nowhere the next 3 years (hopefully doesn’t happen) and because of just a handful of plays I’ll still beat the market in this 5 year timeframe

Exactly! Lost some on USO long options in 2020, and luckily got bailed out on WKHS after my covered calls got exercised the day before/of it's crash so I took that as a sign to be more responsible
SPY & AAPL have made up for the other washes already, and any price drop of them is just a discount day for me IMO

Maybe one day when I have enough free time i'll go back and do some more thorough research and find a stock I believe in. Luckily the meme stock hype/FOMO is over so there's nothing to get suckered into atleast for now

Interesting enough I just got a free month trial of FSD today which is unheard of... apparently he's rolling this out to the masses since others have reported it too. People are mentioning the bounce is because Musk said he would unveiling a Tesla Robotaxi on 8/8 so i'm sure he's scrambling to get some last minute driving data

i'd rather spend $ on a shitty beater if i was worried about a monthly loan or lease costs. all glory be to the triune Elon god though, we can now "lower our monthly loan or lease" while we depreciate its value at the same time!
