If you like interesting coincidences out of random data go look up earthquake patterns. There's a whole community of conspiracy theorists that think they can predict earthquake locations and dates. They basically are just finding patterns in random data and assign it a government conspiracy. It's a really good microcosm of humanity being bad at statistics.

I doubt the number of infected being reported by China is accurate.

University of Hong Kong said that they estimate that the accurate number of people infected may be closer to 75,000, though...

Plus, this is China, known for covering up things and lying to its people and the world.
