the cancel option is not to ask for a new one right after, the cancel is if they decided to take the risk of trading anyway, and they dont need the mod anymore, they can cancel it, so moderators dont spend time on a request that no longer is needed
I hope this feature will be added sooner or later , few weeks ago i said yes to this poll.
I remember when we traded 1 item in Diablo 2 (Exil Eth Bug ST).
For example :
in this trade, I could have deleted the mediator's request when I changed my mind and said to myself that there was no longer a need for a mediator to help us (because for some reasons, i trust more or less the buyer/seller).
When you trade , you talk about price , and you need a secure way to trade (ask for a Mediator to help) ---> but if you change your mind, you need to get another option (cancel the request) / in this way everyone save their own time.
That's seems logic because you often change your mind in trades, if you don't got anymore time to wait for a trade or whatever the reason...
It's better to save the time of the Mediator aswell . I think it's a good idea .
