my dream is not to get a trusted tag, it's to lose one.

i'd be lying if i said i wasn't honored and flattered with position.

well, it's easier to lose than to gain i suppose

how so? they are literally turning a public highway into a shooting gallery, hiding behind passengers in civilian cars during their shootout, and indiscriminately firing at the transporter with the hostage.
i mean sure, an american might genuinely see nothing wrong with that, but for a civilised person, this is an absolute disaster and shockingly incompetent behaviour by the police.

i don't think anyone here is praising the situation or handling of it.

there are plenty of people rationalising the conduct of police and complaining about the thread title...

how many red-lights were blown by fleeing suspects?
did the chase even stay on the street?
was anyone aware that a hostage was taken inside the truck?
