Switched from intel to amd.
Got not cpu, mobo and ram.
Got it all pot together but when i go to boot i get a flash of all the lights and according to the mobo the problem is at the cpu.
Ive removed it made sure it if fit properly. Trouble shooted most that I could.

My question is could it be because i didnt uninstall windows ?

Nah lights sort of just flash for a quick second. And on the mobo tells me the error is with the cpu.

Had an intel i5 before. I bought a new mobo, amd cpu and ram. And got it all together and this is where im at.

did you remove the little sticky clear plastic thing from the bottom of the CPU cooler? It covers the thermal paste.

/e Did you plug the wires from the CPU fan into the right connector on the motherboard.

It sounds like your CPU is heating up very fast and shutting off the computer.

/e The only other thing that might give a CPU error is if you did not match the little triangle on one corner of the CPU, with the little triangle on the CPU socket.

/ee It would also help if you list the exact make and model of the motherboard, the CPU and the RAM.

Dont recall a sticker between the paste and the cooler .. ive checked the placement.
Its a msi x570, amd 2700x, patriotic viper steel ram. Ddr4, 4133 speed. Just at work dont know exact models

But i dont see how it can overheat that quick. Like you should beable to power your pc on without a cpu cooler no ?
