@op, so lets back track and move forward properly...

You have assembled everything to your knowledge...
system gets power for a second then shuts off.

I suggest reconnecting every cable and thing you can, leave the cpu alone.
then with only 1 stick of ram try booting the system, refer to mobo for where the 1 stick should go
if nothing try another ram stick till u cycle through your ram.

Well, since it's throwing a CPU error, maybe it is that extra 4 pin connector. Seems the internet is 50/50 about whether it's necessary.


/e Considering all those builds you recommended with a 570 chipset and a PSU w/o that extra cable... I sure hope you were right about that too. ^^

Its been literally removed from the unit for a reason.
Do you even own hardware from the last two years?

Talking about the extra CPU 4 pin power connector, that's on his motherboard. You know (8 pin and 4 pin)

You even know how much wattage a 8pin delivers?
Do you know why the 4pin is there?
