The world has moved on from Diablo 2. Its a new game so take it for what it is or continue playing legoland square monitor Diablo 2.

fine with me but unfortunately the new game that blizzard south made with d3 was just d2 but bad. saw d2 and took the same formula but made it cartoony and took away features like lobbies and had very bad pvp. looked at d2 and thought it was just about end game and epic loots and made some caricature of a game. sorry you have to make a solid game first before you have "addicting game" which is all they tried to do with grifts and that stupid crap. they didnt innovate at all or make anything new its just a bad polished knock off generic arpg

The only thing the diablo fanbase deserves is a d2 remaster and for blizzard to close the company afterwards. They will only appreciate anything they do if it's a copy n paste of D2.

It's like Call of Duty, copy n paste, their are other examples, but people have no sense of variety.

This is exactly why Hidetaka Miyazaki leads the gaming industry. Each game has a new concept and it's amazing. No-one appreciates variety.

Seriously, the only real issue now is itemization. It can screw up all the game ofc, but IF it will be ok, or even moderate, you guys will have super hard time crying about it not being D2 remaster.

Diablo 4 will be another reskinned gauntlet. D3 developers didn't play or understand d2.

Well the world has moved on, why they are still calling it Diablo then??? If you wanna move on and still have the same name and not implement ingame all the good things that that name carries (like open trading etc) then my friend you are wrong.

Yeah it's a sequel. The "4" kinda gave it away.
Sequels are not supposed to be entirely different from the rest though.

Take good things - make them better.
