and trust me theres a whole lot more volume to go, the last 40% is when the lg speakers boosts the volume the most.

the sound quality of these headphones is easily noticeable higher compared to hyperx, but i just think i had a much more meaningful punch with the hyperx

Most of the time distortion happens when amp (onboard) cannot deliver clean power for headphones/speakers that they require. So yes, most likely having proper headphone amp would solve the problem with distortion unless the distortion is caused by the source.

In almost all cases distortion is caused by amp clipping, you can read more about it from various sources. Example here https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clipping_(audio)

so how do u explain that my hyperx cloud never distorted, using the same sound setup
if it was the amplifier wouldnt it happen with both headphones and not just beyordynamics?

It's possible that the Hyperx headphones couldn't reproduce the distortion so you COULD hear it.
My point is that black box troubleshooting is OK is SOME instances, but not in ALL.

Don't let some of these audiphiles coerce you into buying some thing better than YOU desire. They KNOW their shyt, but they can get a mite perfectionist some times.

Like me, I don't really care if a TV is 4K or not. I was "raised" on TV that was lower than 0K. So to me, even a 1080p TV is fine. Different strokes for different folks. :)
