Wut?

The tanking hinkie started when they traded Jrue for Nerlens Noel. Michael Carter Williams wasn't a pick that we got from tanking, the tank went full throttle when we dumped him after he won ROY to some retarded team in like 2014.

Sixers won 52 games in 2017-2018.

The Jrue Holiday and Evan Turner was 1 game away from the ECF, put some respek on their names.

Prior to Hinkie taking the GM role, the Sixers had only selected in the top 10 of the NBA draft just TWO times over the previous 16 years. Andre Iguodala (2004) and Evan Turner (2010).

Hinkie became GM and was in the position for like 3 to 3.5 years. Over that span the team tanked, he used the extra cap space to take on salary dumps while charging teams a premium to do so. He flipped players for future picks numerous times, traded the now for the future and built a huge stash of draft picks.


Ultimately ended up with two All-Stars before the age of 25 who will both be top 10 NBA players (Embiid already) very soon. In addition to being able to trade for Jimmy Butler (flipped for Josh Richardson) and Tobias Harris. Which then made the team attractive enough for a FA like Horford to sign.
