If Blizzard would do aything about d2, it would probably ruin it.
There are idiots in headquarters and best programmers can not win with that.
Look what they did with Diablo 3. There is no trade, no duels, 21 levels of difficulty (!). I have rather low character (played a lot but 2+ years ago) and I find about 5 legends per minute (doing fsr-GRifts). Therefore I spend more time selling legends, then actually playing game. And 99+% of these legends are useless. In Diablo 3, you spend so much time selling legends as fast as you can, that it's easy to sell good one by mistake. Of course you could write few pages about why Diablo 3 sucks, that's only my experience. I really like the technical part of Diablo 3, graphics is good and there is lots of improvement with stash / npcs / potions etc. But it does not matter since endgame is so bad.
When I saw trailers of Warcraft 3 remaster last year, I actually liked old version better
By the way, Warcraft 3 looks very good on modern computers, so the need for remaster was not so necessary. Rematsered Warcraft 3 will have 2 big changes:
1) It will be going on Battle.net 2.0 (blizzard launcher, auto-updates, new chat etc)
2) You will hav to pay again full price of Warcraft 3, to play remaster.
Luckilly Blizzard stil keeps Diablo 2 servers and does not touchthe game.
I hope it will stay this way.
It is good as it is now.
It would be nice if they banned bots, but if they did not do this in 20 years, I doubt they ever will.
Also I read some roumors about Diablo 4.

Diablo 4 might - at best - be a good game, that will be fun to play campain few times.
But if they will listen to people on US forums, like they did with D3, and implement every idea that idiots cry about, then it is no chance for any new game to be playable for longer that few months.
