Probably, butI can understand why he's playing for the U21's. Gareth was manager of the U21's and believes in going through the ranks like they do in Germany.

A midfield 3 of henderson winks and maddison might be able to keep the ball for longer than 5 seconds without losing it. I'm pretty happy with our forwards and back line, conditional on Gomez starting over Stones.

Alli's best position by far is playing off the striker, but a) he's being forced to play a lot deeper for Spurs due to their lack of depth where he's nowhere near as effective, b) England doesn't play with no 10.
