This is a guide for PvM Wind Dru with Cold emphasis.

Everyone knows standard Wind dru build, but no one talks about improving Hurricane, but this build I think is much more fun than standard Wind dru.

This build will aim for 99 FCR and 99 FHR, but 99 FCR is more crucial.


Gears
Helm - 6 Nado Blue Helm with 2s. You can get 5 Nado Rare - it's up to you, but I put 2 x 5/5 Cold matching blue jewels for more Cold dmg.
Neck - Crafted 2 Dru Ammy. I have 2/8FCR 26str/42mp/15@ Ammy.
Body - Enigma. I use Full Plate Mail for looks. Make sure to pick armor for aesthetic purposes as well as Str req.
Belt - Arach
Glove - Magefist/Trang. I think Magefist is better for MP regen.
Ring - FCR Ring. Depending on how you hit 99FCR, you can replace this with SOJ/BK ring. Make sure to consider GFX matching too.
Ring - FCR Ring. Depending on how you hit 99FCR, you can replace this with SOJ/BK ring. Make sure to consider GFX matching too.
Boot - 15/15 Trek and more Poison the better and this is important.

With this, I hit 103 FCR (20 glove, 20 Arach, 35 Spirit, 20 from 2 x FCR ring and 8 from Ammy). So how you hit 99 FCR is up to you and how you gear. I wish I could get 10 more FCR on my ammy so i can free up my ring slot for SOJ/BK.

Weapon1 - Doom Berserker Axe. Try to get -60CR, as this is make-able in NL
Shield1 - 35fcr Spirit

Weapon2 - CTA. Up to you and your budget
Shield2 - BO Spirit

Anni - up to you. Try to get the highest.
Torch - up to you. Try to get the highest.

GC - i have 6 x ELE 30+ lifers and 2 x ELE FHR. 2 FHR GC will help you hit the 99 FHR with Spirit + Trek. Try to get matching set - aesthetic look does make it feel better
SC - 9 x LIFE/MP SC. Try to get all MATCHING.
I always carry a Cube to pick up stuff, so 8 GC + 9 SC + Anni + Torch is full inventory. I put scroll of ID and TP on potion 3/4 slots.


Merc
Infinity - this helps with -CR but keep in mind -LR on the weapon doesn't COUNT if on Merc
Ebug Fort - whatever fits your budget
Andy - Ral'd or 15/2X IAS/FR jewel


Stats
Str - Enough for gear. Keep in mind if you use Eth BO spirit, it requires 10 less str, or use Lidless for lower Str req while 1 skill less on BO.
Dex - 0
Vit - the rest
Energy - 0


Talents
MAX Cyclone
MAX Twister
MAX Tornado
MAX Hurricane
1 into req into Bear
Rest into Oak Sage

There is some flexibility here. I personally put 1 into Solar Creeper. I tried with and without and with helps a LOT more with MP regen.


One thing a lot people don't know is that Ele Dru only needs PR because Cyclone Armor is OP and protects against FR/CR/LR very well in full room Hell. So focus on maxing PR only and higher PR on Trek will be ideal.

everyone knows coldy dru too, but the reason why nobody is talking about is because this build is not good and optimal as like as his more popular brother

also some items from your list are not adequate too:

aldurs/waterwalks > treks

faceted nightwings > nado pelt

Cold build but no mention of Arctic Blast... smh

i beg to differ - i don't c ppl using this and i don't c any guides for this. may be u know on personal lvl but i dont think it translate to knowledge of the general population out there.

i played both traditional hoto style and this, and i find this to be more powerful. Just TP on a group of mobs, and most of them explode into ice pieces while i single the leftovers

and i think u missed my point that this is 99/99 fcr/fhr build, so both aldurs/waterwalks are not good option. plus i dont need FR from aldurs since cyclone armor covers and life from WW is ok but with BO, im sitting @ 6.1k hp so it's meh. Trek also gives vit which partially negates 65life while I get 20FHR to hit my 99FHR bp.

i tried 5/5 cold nightwing, but u are going to be losing +4skill vs my 6 nado... ele dru dmg is all based on +skill so this is up to the person who wants to mix/match. I decided to stay focused on traditional ele style while boosting hurricane dmg

fhr is irrelevant in pvm

15vita is 2*15=30life
65life is 65*3.8=250life

+3ele amu > +2amu

so its cold dudu without main cold item, nice

and i think u missed my point that massive fhr is not relevant for pvm

if you dont need life and resi it is better to use silks for mana then

you really need to learn d2 basics before posting guides. Trek is garbage on any character. FHR is irrelevant on pvm
