My computer keeps restarting itself. I have an i7 6700k not overclocked with an h115i water cooler. It keeps hitting like 80c just from web browsing. Think I need new thermal paste or maybe the cooler is clogged or something? Nothing else is getting that hot.

are all your fans working?
does it sound like water is running through the unit?

if yes to both, likely need to re-apply the paste.
how long has the cooling block been mounted to the cpu?

About 2.5 years now. I just went to Best Buy and bought some thermal paste and a new h115i. Hopefully the thermal paste works and I can just return the new cooler. All fans are working but they are so loud I can’t hear the pump lol

ya any of these work, a combo is good too.
if you use water, try not to get any electric wet.

I thought you meant the inside. I keep the inside of my pc as dust free as possible. After replacing the thermal paste I’m idling at 19c. Gonna run the benchmark stuff for a bit and see if it restarts itself again

So it did it again and I put the other heat sink on, did it again. Updated bios hasn’t done it again yet but if it does is the next step replace psu?

if your cpu is hitting 80c with only web browsing, you have a heat transfer issue.

if it was your psu undervolting, your pc would keep resetting (without scorching your cpu). on minor cases you may just have a "glitchy" experience.

did you confirm that your AiO pump was running?
i'm not sure what mobo you are using, but going from 80c to 19c with a bios update... sounds off.
