Curious what people prefer for their personal systems.
Personally I feel like air is the way to go until you get into custom loop territory.
A cooler like the Dark Rock 4 will out do pretty much any 240mm AIO on the market, at barely half the price. You also don't run the risk of a leak, and they have less noise (no pump, less fans usually).

I know a lot of people like AIO because looks or workability in the case, but I've had no problems working around any of the single tower coolers, and honestly the be Quiet! coolers look pretty badass IMO.

What are some people people's opinions and reasoning?

I hate dealing with massive air coolers regardless of performance.
dark rock costs me the same as a EVGA - CLC 280.

Yeah you guys get kinda shit on up there price/availability. The H5 is pretty comparable and only $60 CAD on pcpartpicker.

air, fans are fine.

I mean name a gtx 970 that ran out of air/fans back in the day and it was the best card

I feel like all gaming rigs nowadays have glass side, RGB fans and AIO... it looks good but there is no reason for it

imo custom loop if u want to run a heavy oc, and aio if have a sff build it will be better cuz of limited airflow.. other then that air cooler wins

I just put mine in the fridge....doesn't everyone?

Our server room at work is set to 62 but with all the crap in there is usually sits around 68-70.

I should take a few pics because it has been an amazing transformation from where it started to where it is now.
