selling out is betraying your ideology for the sake of money, like a (corrupt) politician or businessperson. i dont think kripp has had a significant influence on the development of anything but i dont really follow him much..haven't been on twitch in ~5 years.

just because the nerd that you related with who was once on your financial level is now above you in tax brackets doesnt mean hes a sell out lol.

I'm glad you misunderstood that I was somehow arguing for Kripp being a sellout, I'm all for him making a living and being an actual person.

Also I'd say Kripp had quite the influence on early poe and he's even mentioned in the end credits afaik.

BUT at the same time idk shit about diablo immortal. i just dont pay attention to phone games 1 bit. in grade school id play some minigames to kill time in class but after HS i haven't really gamed on the phone.

Selling out is streaming because you loved the core of the game to streaming ONLY the things that you think will get views and make money. Luckily, I don't have to pretend to like something I don't online to make money, and kripp needs to be a little higher up in the income bracket to hit my "tax bracket". He dislikes the games he streams, but he does it because it pays the bill. Its the complete opposite of what people loved him for. So you defending the kripps that was "5 years ago" since you haven't followed anything in 5 years instead of the kripps now makes no sense.

He is the epitome of selling out. He doesn't have to affect the game, rofl. He only hopped back onto PoE because the past fiscal year's views and subs have went down drastically. He doesn't play the game for the game.
