I had to pay in 6k less this year for taxes and I only made 105k. Hardly the 1% by any means, so I guess his tax plan helped me that way. Other than that not much has changed in my daily life due to the presidency, but my kids are out of school too, so I cant really speak to that.

You're an outdoorsy guy, you should be concerned with what he's doing with the clean water act, don't you want your kids and grandkids and so on to enjoy the same outdoors you had as a kid growing up?

I must not live in an area where schooling has been impacted because my kids have more opportunities and cheaper everything except lunches than when I was a kid. Personal laptops, iPads, specialists. I also do my best to supplement their education because I know how bad it was when I was in school.

My taxes were way better this year than the last 3.

It's hard for me to hate what someone's doing when it hasnt hurt me, or anyone that I know, outside of what he says that pisses people off.

The man has done more to bring eyes to politics than anyone else ever has.

Reagan? Really?

🤣😂. Is your small tax break worth >$1 trillion debt though?

The tax plan helps initially and then butt fucks people later. Typical Trump style, make people happy in the short-term and they'll reelect you without even bothering to look at the big picture.

Same as above with taxes. How about when your kids go to college though, do you think a system where we're paying 50k/year to get degrees in mostly shrinking markets is sustainable? Of course your elementary schools haven't been hit and neither have mine, I don't live in a predominantly black and/or poor area. He's bringing eyes to politics in the most negative way ever and all it's doing is empowering trolls and the worst kind of people imaginable. If the President of the United States can lie with every breath he takes and be loved for it, why can't I?

This 100%, it's amazing how many people look past that just because they personally saved a few hundred/thousand on their taxes

I've heard nonstop praise for him regarding taxes, even from people who dislike Trump. It's just insane to me how shortsighted people are. He's good at manipulating the masses, you gotta give credit where it's due. It's depressing as shit, but he's the master of being a shady piece of shit.

Trump designated $300 million to the great lakes preservation after he cut it and then got pressure for michigan congressmen and Senators. Whitmer and Nessel are opposed to the line 5 pipe under the straights of mackinaw which needs to be replaced, but they are against it. If we leave it how it is, its going to leak its just a matter of time. Trump and some other politicians want to make it better and bury it so boat anchors cant hit it and puncture it. The thing is like 60 years old and if it bursts it will ruin the great lakes. We already had the outer pipe get punctured a few years ago and that's when it all started. Whitmer is Granholm 2.0 and will wreck our economy with her 45 cent a gallon gas hike to our already $1.40 something tax per gallon. so if gas goes down to 10 cents a gallon its still going to be 2 bucks in michigan.

You shouldn't want any pipeline/tunnel under the great lakes... especially when the prime benefactor will be the canadians not you. The canadians are doing the same shit to my state, raping the environment (hydro power/transmission lines)for a few pennies worth of savings on ratepayers electricity bills...

Seriously man? See, here's a good opportunity for you to go high and try and change some opinions, but you continue to stoop and do everything you can to make Jsp a less enjoyable place. You can't cry constantly about people being mean to you, when you do nothing but shit on everyone and everything here.

I will be at the prerelease, so I can look into that, but I don't recall ever receiving a code for FNM.

Kind of bummed my friend can't do the 2-headed giant pre-release. I'll have to desperately ask around if anyone wants to join me lol. /or I can just go to one of the solo pre-releases, but that's less fun

I think it's just this upcoming FNM.
I've never even seen a store do 2hg prerelease, that sounds awesome

Well then she must have changed her tune. During the debates she wanted to get rid of it entirely. I feel the lakes should be protected and getting rid of it entirely would be the best for the environment, but people need that shit too. This isn't a new thing, the existing pipeline is older than me. She didn't want to agree to it, because it was a republican idea, read the article you posted, instead of just the headline. She just announced she is for it today..

Michigan House Republicans today responded to news that Gov. Gretchen Whitmer has taken an about-face on rebuilding Line 5 and is now open to building a multi-use utility tunnel beneath the Straits of Mackinac to house the energy pipeline.

“It seems the governor knows good policy when she sees it but has been too busy placating her political base to do the right thing—until now,” said Majority Floor Leader Triston Cole, of Mancelona. “By stopping Line 5 reconstruction in the first place, the governor created a false crisis, which wasted valuable time and money spent planning for the project and delayed crucial energy rate relief for northern Michigan families.”
House Republicans worked with the Snyder Administration on a solution to replace the aging Line 5 pipeline beginning in 2017. After thorough study, it was determined that building a tunnel 100 feet beneath the floor of the Straits of Mackinac would be the safest option for transporting energy between the Upper and Lower Peninsulas, as compared to other available options like rail transport or trucking.
“I’m glad the governor has finally joined the Legislature at the table on this important issue,” said Rep. Joe Bellino, chair of the House Energy Committee. “Placing a new Line 5 in a tunnel 100 feet into the bedrock beneath the Straits’ floor is the best solution available for keeping our Great Lakes safe from contamination and delivering reliable energy to Michigan residents, especially those in Northern Michigan and the Upper Peninsula. We need to set aside the partisan political games for good and get down to the important work of moving forward with this critical energy infrastructure project. Wasting years and millions of dollars on litigation will only extend the time that the aging, obsolete Line 5 sits on the bottom of the Straits of Mackinac.”

I'm glad she is on board finally. Nessel will still fight it and say it's unconstitutional, but she is a shady bitch. Made her name from getting pedophiles reduced charges and/or no penalties. She represented a strip club that had a 14 year old mentally challenged girl working there and said "they are a legitimate business". Look her up I can't believe she got voted in either, but the Republican candidate was just as big of a douchebag as attorney general, but he did go after Nassar for the MSU rapes of all the gymnasts. That's what I mean about most politicians are dirty somehow. I don't affliate with a party, I vote on what promises they make that line up with my values. None of them ever come through with all of it. Not clinton or Obama or Bush or Trump. It's just the way it is.
