you missed the point but that's ok,

a lot do these days. I expected this.

What is your point, exactly. It's very poorly worded and vague.

There's no point until he discloses the criteria of a hero and the metrics he's using to score an individual.

those guys wear the greatest honor our country can give. are you serious?

To you

and there is nothing stopping you from looking up to anyone you wish.

There are countless ways to set good examples and do good for community, country and the world and acting as if being a celebrity or athlete prevents ultimate or meaningful sacrifice is factually as inaccurate as your view on blanket worship of those in a military uniform

Your tunnel vision and and aggressive irritation at disagreement doesn't dictate anything other than in your own mind.

its the fact that no one remembers their names. and they should

I love jj watt, and all the players who do good stuff for their communities but it doesn't compare to what kids should look up to in a true hero

little sad to hear that kids consider sports players and celebrities as hero's these days

they don't know the names of Hershey Miyamura and Ed Carter

Before the Netflix series on Medal of Honor recipients, you probably didn't know them either.

still time to be a hero yourself and dedicate your time to one of the forgotten of drafted wars living on the streets

where they sit cold and hungry but are remembered just enough to be used as political and "patriotic" pawns

"Your hero sucks because it's not my hero"

You're trying to make an argument based on qualifying factors you are not disclosing. You aren't saying what characteristics you deem to be hero worthy yet choosing who is worthy of the title.

This is asinine.

good god, you just want to argue, sorry I posted tbh

and yes I think a medal of honor winner deserves more praise than a football star or actor....

and that's perfectly fine. You should provide how you make that decision so we can follow along and join in. The criteria would help people discuss, which is why you posted in the first place, right?

I'm just correcting you and trying to fix this terrible thread. It's remarkably bad.
