There's a statistic called "all cause mortality" that is often used.

It's one of the statistics I don't put a lot of stock into because it's ridiculously hard to control it, as a result unless the trend is just SUUUUUUPER obvious it's likely an artifact.

Fat has more calories per gram than other macros
HAving a well balanced diet outweighs the benefits of any fad diet

Fat has more calories, but also inhibits the storage of fat.

Go figure.

However, carbs promote the storage of fat, especially fructose.
