I just have it set on an auto fan curve right now so its only at ~50% rpm, idle with two instances of chrome and some other background stuff im at 34-41C

after a couple hours of destiny 2 yesterday it maxed out at 71C, a cinebench run just got it to max out at 74C right at the end

I'm not too up to date on Coffee lake, but from brief research it seems like it's not too uncommon to have your temps where they are. Albeit your volts seem low compared to other benches I've seen.

That's not to say 8700's couldn't be lower but it sounds like your silicon ticket falls into a grouping of many others.

planning on selling the replacement corsair unit BNIB from rma when it comes in



maybe its got a slight bit of flow but its not working as it should.

that being said I definitely think its possible that with 0 pump flow it performs on par with a stock intel cooler
