I really hate to say it but i don't believe Bortles is one of the worst in the league anymore. I'd say he's slightly below average to average. But i do agree with bold, Ramsey running his mouth like this comes off as cocky/slightly immature and is only going to motivate any QBs he trashed to go off vs the Jaguars (if any of those QBs happen to play the Jags this season)
Just because he did okay vs new England’s dog shit secondary does not make him a good qb. He also missed every throw when it mattered. And the coaching staff didn’t even trust him to throw on 1st or 2nd down.
Bortles even cost or nearly cost Jacksonville multiple games this season. Let’s not even get into the last 3 years before this one. He was absolutely abysmal in those.
Bortles is not in the top 20 QBs in the league. He’s a game manager who turns the ball over too much to be a game manager and has good durability and mobility, that’s it. He would be an above average backup qb but he is nowhere near starting caliber. Not even close.
