the series that get picked up by the network's in japan or hollywood equivalent for anime over there are letting through some whack stuff. such as anything with fanservice. writer's need to copy great show's with no romance scene's, no touchy-feely moments that happen so often in shows like the flash and just follow the great shows/anime like game of thrones, breaking bad, shingeki no kyojin, claymore. stories full of despair, where the enemy is always stronger or winning or killing the "good guys" .... in my personal opinion. thoughts?

I can definitely understand other people not understanding the appeal behind anime. Most people don’t get it. My friends certainly don’t. They think it’s lame af.

romance usually adds a lot to the characters and story. i prefer shows with it.
